Smitha is an attorney in the Seattle office of Betts, Patterson & Mines, P.S. Smitha is a member of the insurance defense group. She works on a mix of products liability and other matters. Her work in defense litigation is informed by her experience with plaintiffs’ side civil litigation and her focus on technology while in law school.
Smitha obtained her bachelor’s degree in Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts, and led a biometric data privacy project in the Technology Law & Public Policy Clinic. She also interned with the Northwest Justice Project’s Medical Legal Partnership with Harborview Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital, and worked as a Law Clerk on employment matters with Seattle Litigation Group.
